365 Travel reaches out to flood victims in Quang Binh Province, Vietnam

On October 21th and 22th, 2016, 365 Travel has made the charity trip to Quang Binh province to help local people who suffered the consequences of the historic flood occurred in mid-October, 2016.

It has become a long-established principle of 365 Travel to give back and benefit the local community. And this trip is no exception to that purpose. What we hear about the flash flood and downpours in the central provinces of Vietnam in the mid-October that led to widespread and severe damages, many villages isolated in flood, paddy fields inundated with floodwater, has urged us to do something. Within just two days of preparation, on 21th, the group of 9 start the long travel of nearly 500 kilometers, carrying 100 gifts including rice, noodle, and financial supports to Quang Minh commune, Ba Don town, one of the most heavily damaged areas of Quang Binh province, where many homes have been submerged in water, people facing many difficulties after the flood withdrew.

Our contribution is not much, but we give it with our hearts and our hopes to help the local overcome their difficulties. Living is giving, looking at happy people when receiving gifts, the gentle smiles, hasty but sincere thanks from the local, innocent faces with pink cheeks of the children, we feel a joy, hard to describe in words, and make a promise to ourselves to live more responsibly, help more people less fortunate than us.

Being a responsible company is always at the heart of 365 Travel. From the beginning, we have committed to offer trips that benefit not only travelers, but also the local and the destination as well. We work with local communities, businesses and individuals to develop sustainable tourism opportunities that help local economies while minimizing the negative impacts on the environment, the local culture and the society of the destination. Our commitment to giving something back to the society has well-maintained since our establishment in 2006.
