Tourism in Northern Vietnam Faces Challenges Amid Typhoon Yagi

On September 6, Northern Vietnam was hit by Typhoon Yagi, a powerful storm that disrupted daily life and severely impacted the tourism industry. Destinations such as Sa Pa, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Cat Ba, and Ha Long were heavily affected, resulting in the suspension of most tours. Many hotels, restaurants, and attractions were forced to temporarily close.

Sapa is affected by Yagi Typhoon

In this current situation, 365 Travel had been hosting about 8 groups of tourists in Northern Vietnam. We immediately notified the travel agents involved, ensuring they had real-time updates.

For our clients, safety was our top priority. We immediately arranged for them to stay in hotels in Hanoi while closely monitoring weather changings. Essential supplies were provided at the hotels, and we adjusted itineraries to minimize disruptions. We also explored nearby destinations less affected by the typhoon, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience despite the circumstances.

Our operations team stayed in constant contact with local suppliers and partners to respond efficiently and adapt to the situation.
